They say rain on your wedding day is good luck, and after spending the day with Ilze and Gawie at Trinity Gate Farm, I'd have to agree.
The weather had its own plans, but these two didn't let that stop them for a second. As the rain started falling, they simply laughed, grabbed each other's hands, and carried on enjoying every moment of their day.
Honestly, that's one of my favourite things to witness as a wedding photographer. When couples let go of trying to control everything and just focus on being together, the magic happens. The smiles are real, the laughter is effortless, and the photographs tell the story exactly as it happened.
The rain brought a softness to the day that suited the beautiful surroundings of Trinity Gate Farm perfectly. Between the showers, the fresh air, and the incredible light, we were able to create some of my favourite portraits from the season. But more than that, we captured the genuine connection between two people who were simply happy to be marrying each other.
Not every wedding day goes exactly as planned, and that's okay. Sometimes it's the unexpected moments that become the ones you'll remember most.
